This tiny, dilapidated single story home in Oshawa was torn back to it's studs and completely reimagined and rebuilt. When we tore the wall paneling off there was no structure to the building at all. We opened up the entire foot print, moved the bedroom entrances away from the kitchen, installed a staircase and dormer to the sealed attic to create a stylish master bedroom with lots of storage and finished the dark wet basement to include a 1 bedroom apartment. The exterior was completed with a fully finished mudroom, all new windows, doors, siding, eaves and troughs. The driveway was completed along with new windows and siding for the garage.
This gorgeous century house was tired, dark and very run down. A complete transformation while respecting the beautiful original features and highlighting them. Tin ceilings in the entrance were not noticeable against the mustard coloured paint, the kitchen was painted black and the handles were actual tarnished spoons!
This house had tenants for one year who destroyed every room and left the four acre property in complete shambles. It took two bins to remove the garbage that was hidden over the entire property. The house had been updated right before the tenants moved in with new paint, floors etc. All of which we had to re-do. The house was turned around in weeks and was fully rented on vacation rental sites for more than the owner was receiving in monthly rent!
Buy to sell- No more popcorn ceilings, new drywall for 90% of the house, new flooring for the entire home, kitchen refresh, new bathroom, all new doors, paint and trim. turned around in 6 weeks for a 40% return!
